Ghent University Global Campus (GUGC), established in 2014, offers bachelor’s degrees in life sciences:
Environmental Technology, Food Technology, and Molecular Biotechnology. GUGC aims to inspire students to
address global challenges such as international health, climate change, and food security. Through critical
and creative thinking, GUGC's programs equip students with the skills needed to develop innovative solutions.
The university believes in the importance of continually educating future generations to tackle ongoing
international issues effectively.

Center for Green Chemistry & Environmental Biotechnology
The Center for Green Chemistry & Environmental Biotechnology (GREAT) aims to integrate global research and development efforts,
apply cutting-edge scientific discoveries to education at GUGC, and contribute to local policy and program development.
GREAT's strategies focus on building research capacity, fostering competitive research, promoting collaborations,
strengthening alliances with Gent University stakeholders, and supporting decision-making at GUGC.
GREAT is structured into three research groups led by GUGC Professors, each focused on specific areas of expertise.
