RC3 and BMDRC Sign Strategic MOU to Pioneer Innovations in AI-Driven Sustainable Biotechnology

The Centre for Green Chemistry and Environmental Biotechology (GREAT), Ghent University Global Campus and Bioinformatics & Molecular Design Research Center (BMDRC), Yonsei University, today announced a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to accelerate interdisciplinary innovations at the nexus of artificial intelligence (AI), biotechnology, and sustainability.
The partnership will focus on the following core pillars:
- AI-Powered Protein Engineering: Leveraging machine learning to design novel enzymes and sustainable biomaterials.
- Green Catalytic Systems: Developing low-energy catalytic processes for waste valorization and carbon-neutral chemical synthesis.
- Natural Product Discovery: Harnessing AI-driven analytics to identify bioactive compounds for pharmaceutical and agricultural applications.
- Circular Economy Solutions: Co-designing scalable technologies to reduce industrial carbon footprints.
